Every minute of every day, the cells
of your body are being worn down by environmental pollutants,
stress, illness and more. Fortunately, the human body has an
incredible ability to heal itself -- if given the chance.
The Meridian Stress
Assessment (MSA) is a procedure that takes the best
of Western technology in combination with Eastern medicine. This
painless, noninvasive procedure uses a balanced acupressure point
together with a complex computer program to gather information
about the functional health of your body.
We have performed over 5,000 tests
on patients -- gathering vital data that our doctor uses to set up
protocols and conduct treatments.
Some frequently asked
questions:
What are meridians?
Meridians are a network of
energetic pathways that pass through your body's tissues and
organs. Bioelectric energy, essential for human life, flows through
each meridian and the associated organs and tissues. You may have
heard of this energy referred to by the Chinese term of Qi (chi).
Many acupressure points run along each meridian, providing windows
into the meridian system.

Is this going to hurt?
No. You will hold a brass rod in one hand while the
technician uses a probe to take readings at a specific location on
your thumb.

How does this differ from regular medical
treatment?
Meridian testing does not take
the place of qualified medical diagnosis and treatment. You are
responsible for your own medical needs and must determine which
type of medical care is best for you. Conventional medicine is
exceptionally effective in health crisis management, in diagnosing
disease, and in prescribing medication that will diminish
symptoms.
Meridian testing is a way to
address concerns that don’t always show up in other tests. It is
helpful for people who want to improve their general health, as
well as those with chronic problems that lack a specific diagnosis
or that have not responded to other treatment.

Will meridian testing be harmful to me in
any way?
The amount of current used in
meridian testing is in the range of millionths of an amp. This
is so slight that you will most likely not even feel it. The
technology can be compared to polygraph, EKG
(electro-encephalogram), EMG (electromyelogram), MRI (magnetic
resonance imaging), and other technologies that measure electrical
response on the surface of the skin.

Will this procedure cure me of
disease?
This is not a treatment
device. The primary purpose of this system is to measure the
body’s resistance to the positive and negative effects of various
substances. It is not intended to make a medical diagnosis or
to replace medical intervention.

How often do I need to have meridian
testing and balancing done?
We will test you at least
three times during the course of your allergy treatments: an
initial test for general imbalances and sensitivities, a second for
more specific allergens, and a third when you are finished with
your allergy treatments to make sure that all sensitivities are
cleared. However, you can be tested as frequently as you and your
practitioner desire.

Can I still take my prescription
medications while taking homeopathic or herbal
remedies?
Yes. In fact,
you should never stop taking a
prescription medication without consulting your physician.
This test will, however,
provide you with the ability to test your medication as well as any
other nutritional supplements you may be taking to see whether it
weakens, balances, or stresses your system.
